Our Insulation Services in Clare

Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity Wall Insulation stands out as one of the most efficient and cost-effective methods to insulate homes. Presently, a large portion of homes in County Clare and throughout Ireland lack adequate insulation, resulting in the unfortunate escape of heat. As a consequence, heating bills soar, especially with the high cost of home heating at present. However, with the expertise of Instant Eco Homes, considerable improvements can be made to existing homes.

Attic Insulation

Upgrading attic insulation is a highly cost-effective and efficient solution for homeowners seeking to minimize heat loss in their homes. According to the SEAI, inadequate attic insulation can result in a substantial heat loss ranging from 20% to 30% through the roof. However, by implementing an attic insulation upgrade, homeowners can significantly mitigate this heat loss.

FAQ's

Home insulation refers to the materials and techniques used to minimize heat transfer between the interior and exterior of a home, thereby improving energy efficiency and comfort. It involves adding insulation to walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, and other areas of a home to reduce the amount of heat that enters or leaves the living space.

Our qualified Surveyor can offer you a free home insulation survey to advise you on your home’s current insulation and what you could do to improve your home energy efficiency. We can also advise on the SEAI grants which may be available to you, and how to apply. It is possible you may have a recent  Building Energy Rating (BER) assessment on your home. This is where a certified BER assessor evaluates the energy efficiency of your dwelling and furnishes you with a comprehensive report, highlighting areas that can be enhanced to boost your home’s energy efficiency. The SEAI site offers valuable insights on their website regarding the BER process and its functioning.

To be eligible for a grant, certain criteria must be met:

  • Ownership: You must be the owner of a property constructed and inhabited before 2011 to qualify for insulation grants.
  • Contractor Selection: It is necessary to choose a contractor from the SEAI’s registered list to carry out the work.
  • Materials and Products: Only newly fitted materials and products should be used in the insulation and renewable system installations.
  • Standards Compliance: The work done must meet the required standards set by the relevant authorities.
  • Building Energy Rating (BER): After the completion of the works, a BER assessment must be conducted by a registered BER assessor from the SEAI’s National Register.

Meeting these criteria ensures eligibility for grants to support energy-efficient upgrades in your property.
