Bead Cavity Wall Insulation Services Ireland

Instantly Reducing Heat Loss by 30%

Create a warmer, more comfortable home, cut your energy bills and make the right choice for the environment with Cavity Wall Insulation from Instant Eco Homes.

Most Irish homes built after 1930 have two layers of block – an inner load bearing wall and an outer layer, with a cavity in between (between 50mm and 110mm). This means there is little thermal insulation and heat easily escapes. With Cavity Wall Insulation, expanded polystyrene beads (EPS) are injected into the cavity walls, along with a water-based adhesive to bind the beads. This traps the warm air in and prevents air from circulating around the cavity.

The EPS beads injected are between 2mm to 8mm and spherical – to ensure a full fill with no gaps, keeping warmth in. We use only NSAI-certified Envirobead EPS beads, with a thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/m2K. Partnering with top-rated cavity wall insulation companies, Instant Eco Homes ensures your home stays warm, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly.

How is it Installed?

We provide insulation solutions by installing CWI from the outside of your home, for as little inconvenience to you as possible. There is minimal mess, and we carry out a full clean-up. Best of all, it takes just one day to complete.

To ensure proper insulation, we access the cavity by drilling a series of 22mm holes on the outer wall of your home. We locate the holes following the pattern set down by the NSAI Agreement Certificate, ensuring we fully fill the cavity. We then place an air compression injection nozzle in each hole, and the insulation material, consisting of EPS beads, is are injected into the cavity with a consistent layer of adhesive.

Finally, we fill the holes with colour-matched mortar or render before a quality Instant Eco Homes auditor assesses the cavity wall insulation installation to make sure it meets the required NSAI standard.
