Step by step

The SEAI Home Energy Grant process has recently been improved to make it quick and easy to for homeowners to apply and receive grant funding. See our Step-by-Step overview of the process to understand how easy it is.

Step 1

Contact Instant EcoHomes on 0831521595 to arrange a free Insulation upgrade Survey & Quote

Step 2

Easily apply online or by post to SEAI for grant funding on your insulation upgrade - We can help if needed

Step 3

We complete your installation upgrade at a time that suits you, followed by our Quality checks

Step 4

Have a post works BER assessment completed, and receive you new BER rating

Step 5

Submit ours and the BER assessors Declaration of Works document along with your Request for payment form to the SEAI & receive your grant within 4-6 weeks

Applying for Grant

To apply for a SEAI Home Energy Grant you will need the following:

  • A valid email address
  • Your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN), This can be found at the top of your Electricity Bill and is 11 digits long.
  • Details of Dwelling (must be built before 2011)
  • Our Contractor Details in below table: Please note: enter our Contractor ID – 17794 only and press search (no need to fill in all search fields)

Online Application Process 
  • Log onto https://hes.seai.ie/GrantProcess/ApplyForGrantAfterWizard.aspx or the “Click here” link below
  • Complete the application form
  • Follow the steps to get Grant approval
  • The Grant Offer will be made online. When you click the “Accept” option on the “Confirm Offer Acceptance” screen, the Grant Offer becomes valid 
  • The Grant Offer, once accepted by the applicant, remains valid for 8 months from the date of issue of the Grant Offer notification  
 
 
Once approved
  • Once you have accepted the offer online, a letter of offer will be sent in the post to your contact address, along with the Declaration of Works forms required for claiming the Grant 
  • Organize for the measures for which you have received grant approval to be carried out and fully completed by us, the Contractor
